So I don't know why I haven't read this series before. I kind of hated the first film of the series (too too dark and rather rushed) and wanted to find out if the books were worse. Don't get me wrong; Jamie Campbell Bower was fantastically cast as Jace and it is rather weird how reading the stories you actually picture Jace as him, but the whole film rather put me out of sorts with the heavy darkness that failed to frighten but managed to frustrate. The next installment should be better, I hope. The books are different though. Having taken time to re educate myself on all things fun this year
The Mortal Instruments Series has become my drug of choice. Have not been able to put them down. Started last week with
City of Bones and have now moved to
City of Glass. Yeah I have read
City of Ashes too. Why haven't I read this before? Oh yeah, fantasy fiction is not huge here and I have been spending too much time reading for work, reading 'serious' literature. Note to self: read for pleasure more :)
